Sexual reactions between hermaphroditic and dioecious mucors

Blakeslee, Albert Francis (August 1915) Sexual reactions between hermaphroditic and dioecious mucors. The Biological Bulletin, 29 (2). pp. 87-103.

Abstract

It has been shown that sexual reactions called "imperfect hybridization" may occur when hermaphroditic species of Mucors are grown in contact with the sexual races of diœcious forms. Certain of these hermaphrodites are heterogamic, showing a constant difference in the size of their gametes.
