Abstract
Though the bones of the head seem rigid, the living bone is more or less plastic even to adulthood. The form of the infant's head is modifiable by gravity, but unless the modifying agent acts for a long time, the effect is largely temporary. The degree and permanency of the effect produced depend upon the degree of cooperation between external and internal factors.
