Abstract

MLL1 fusions are among the most potent oncogenic drivers of leukemia development. In recent articles published in Molecular Cell and in Cancer Cell, researchers find that MLL1 fusions are reliant on a physical interaction with the PAF transcription elongation complex for their recruitment to chromatin and, consequently, leukemic transformation. © 2010 Elsevier Inc.
